Looks like I’ve got some posts to catch up on: more boat work with the folks, a couple trips to DC (one by Camel through 12 states!), and going back to work part time (you didn’t think I was permanently retired did you?). But who can keep up a blog up to date when there’s week old snow in the hills 9 miles from the boat!?
Driving home after a wonderful Thanksgiving with dear friends Mike and Carrie and their family I noticed Camden Snow Bowl had an awesome blanket of white on the slopes. I vowed to return the next day with tele-boards in hand. That “awesome blanket of white” I had seen at midnight turned out to be more like 0-6 inches of snow over a firm base of mud, rocks, and grass. No matter, that what rock skis are for!
Seemed at the top of the lift served area I was close to the familiar radio tower atop Ragged Mountain, so I continued another few minutes until I arrived on the summit for a beautiful view of the coast.
What goes up must come down, it was time to experience the joy of November New England skiing. Anyone know where I can buy P-Tex by the gallon?
